The Quest

Update: 13 January 2021

As I get further into this, I realize that there is the need for some people to get involved that may not have the ability to travel. I am converting some of the unhidden treasures into armchair hunts. They will be listed in their own region on the main page and will feature stories that contain the clues. Good luck and I hope you like it.

From the Red dwelling place, head West down the road into the forest. Not quite to the end of the road its time to stop and head Northwest on foot. You’re well on your way but you need to go over the grass before you get to the beaten path. From there, the trail will take you up a rocky creek, past a rainbow, but leaves the creek and makes a turn up higher into the mountains. Since I like to get off the beaten path, if you wanted to ditch the trail at the turn and continue following the creek, what lake would you get to first? What a great place to drop a coin.

In general, if you were flying from winded to a vine, you would fly over what?

After I left the military, I took a trip that I had been planning for some time. A time to define the transition of one life into another and something to focus on while everything I knew around me was changing. Because I have a terrible back and a limited amount of time to travel, I decided to drive a trail that ins very interesting to me. This trail separates the continent and runs from Mexico to Canada.

The spot I am looking for would not be accessible to me during my trip but others could reach it. The closest I could get is a was a road (+1) that passed a Lobo. From there it would be a pretty wild trip that I could not take. One of these days, maybe I’ll make that trip and find the hope I seek in adventuring in the mountains. If that hope pushed me to continue, I might find my path leading to a rather rocky pass. It looks beautiful and I’d love to drop a coin there. Can you find it?

If you have been around a while, you may know that I was previously in the military and I spent my time there as a navigator in the Air Force. My job was to get the airplane from point A to point B using a lot of modern-ish technology but the basics of navigating in the air are largely based on how the old mariners navigated the seas.

The religious of these mariners believed that they had someone watching over them and there was a tell-tale sign that occasionally appeared to them and it also occasionally appeared on the windscreen of our aircraft. I’ll tell you, it is a sight to see.

While there is a great distance between where I flew and where they sailed, this phenomenon bridged the gap between them and me. There happens to be another place that bridges this gap. Can you find it?
