While this historic site does not belong to the USFS, it is maintained due to the iconic images the mill perched on a cliff and half of the structure overhanging the river, supported by a stack of timbers. Commonly referred to as a mill, the structure was actually a power plant that produced compressed air for a nearby tunnel mine.

This iconic structure is not the end of the story though; there is a trail near here with a particularly evil feature that eventually powered the powerhouse. Can you find this feature?
