Nested among the many rivers and peaks was a small overlook shared by the USFS and the AWS. This spot is a good mishmash of everything I have done and loved in my life. It incorporates our National Forests, mountain tops, river valleys, military service, and early warning for aircraft.

While the site is no longer in use, back in WWII it would have been accessed only by trail and all supplies would have come from the closest town of Johnsons, a remote town that, reportedly, was finally connected to the power grid in 2019. This area still looks very remote to this day, I will have to go see it for myself one day.

Can you figure out this spot? It will certainly take some digging into history.
